Personal data protection

This page says what happens to your data when you browse our stock of vehicles, write to the assistant or contact us by phone or e-mail. It is written so that a person can understand it — not as a list of references to legal provisions.

Who works with your data

The controller is SIMA Car s.r.o., Dvojrad 348/28, 930 25 Vrakúň, Company ID (IČO) 50 812 327, Tax ID (DIČ) 2120511998, VAT ID (IČ DPH) SK2120511998, entered in the Commercial Register: Obchodný register Okresného súdu Trnava, oddiel Sro, vložka č. 39960/T.

You can reach us on +421 908 84 08 95 or +421 919 49 19 59 and by e-mail at simacar@simacar.sk.

We have not appointed a data protection officer (DPO). For anything concerning your data, contact us directly — our details are in the paragraph above.

What happens when you are only browsing the website

Almost nothing. Until you fill in the enquiry form on the Contact page yourself or allow visitor measurement, nothing leaves this website: there is no newsletter to sign up for and nothing to reserve. You browse the stock without revealing anything about yourself.

We use no advertising tools. We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics — without cookies and only after you consent to the Analytics category in the cookie bar (see “Visitor measurement” below). Without consent we collect nothing about which cars you look at, for how long or where you came from. The filters in the stock listing and the colour scheme switch work solely in your browser. The details are on the Cookies page.

When you write to the assistant

The text of the question you type into the assistant window in the bottom right corner is sent to our server so that it can answer it. The IP address of your connection is processed along with it, solely in order to limit the number of messages from one place — that is protection against flooding, not tracking.

The conversation is not stored: neither on our server nor in your browser. We checked this on 4 September 2026 — after a message was sent and an answer received, the browser storage stayed empty. When you close the page, the conversation is gone.

So do not type your birth number, ID document number or details about your income into the chat — the assistant does not need them and the phone is the place for things like that.

The assistant is artificial intelligence — the Claude language model by Anthropic. The text of your question and the earlier messages of the same conversation are therefore sent to Anthropic for processing (without your IP address); under its commercial terms Anthropic does not use them to train models. When the model is unavailable or the daily limit is used up, the assistant answers from prepared replies directly on our server and does not pass the text of the question on.

When you write to us through the form on the Contact page

Since 22 September 2026 there is an enquiry form on the Contact page. Filling it in is voluntary — you can just as well call us or send an email. When you submit it, we process exactly what you write into it and nothing more.

The legal basis is steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — you are asking about a vehicle we are selling. The tick box next to the form confirms that you have read this document; it is not a separate legal basis, and withdrawing it does not recall an email already sent.

A submitted enquiry is stored in a list in the website's administration so that it does not get forgotten, and at the same time it goes out by email. The list is not public — only the signed-in operator can open it. It is kept for 12 months from receipt and then deleted automatically; you can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

What is NOT stored: your IP address. It is not needed to handle the enquiry. The server’s technical log keeps only whether the sending succeeded and the prefix of the network — never your name, phone, email or the text of your message. The email carrying the enquiry also lives on in the operator’s mailbox under their own rules.

The form is protected against robots: it contains a hidden field no human sees, measures the time since the page loaded and limits how many submissions come from one IP address. These checks work with technical data (the IP address and its prefix, the browser identification), not with the content of your message, and serve only to stop automated spam. The counter is stored together with the IP address in the Upstash database (data centre in Frankfurt) and deletes itself after 48 hours at the latest; a fingerprint of the submitted form (an unreadable checksum, not the text of your message) stays there for 24 hours so that the same enquiry is not sent twice.

When you call us, write to us or come to see us

At that point we are talking about a specific car and we process what you tell us yourself: your name, phone number, e-mail address and the details needed for the deal — when you buy a car, when we buy yours, with a sale on commission or with financing. This happens outside this website, but it belongs here so that you know what follows.

Who your data reaches

We do not sell your data and we do not send it to anyone for advertising.

If you ask for financing, we pass your application on to the partner who arranges the loan for you. We arrange loans ourselves only for Home Credit — SIMA Car s.r.o. is its tied financial agent. For the other partners we pass the application on to their financial agent. From the moment the lender or its financial agent receives the application, they decide about your data themselves and their own data protection terms apply.

Who the application may go to — business name and registered office, and for financial agents also the number in the register of the National Bank of Slovakia (subjekty.nbs.sk):

If you ask for vehicle insurance, we pass the details needed to take out the policy on to our partner FINGO.SK s. r. o., IČO 50 230 859, Vajnorská 100/B, 831 04 Bratislava – mestská časť Nové Mesto (independent financial agent, NBS 215683), who arranges the insurance with the insurer you choose. From that moment its own data protection terms and those of the insurer apply. Insurers (business name and registered office):

Our accounts are kept by SA účtovníctvo, s.r.o. It has access to the details on invoices and contracts to the extent that bookkeeping requires.

Beyond that it can be public authorities where the law requires it — for example the dopravný inšpektorát (the traffic police unit that registers vehicles) when a vehicle is transferred to a new owner, or the tax office.

What you can do about your data

You can ask us at any time to:

Just call +421 908 84 08 95 or +421 919 49 19 59 or write to simacar@simacar.sk. We will answer as soon as we can, within one month at the latest.

If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the supervisory authority: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Data Protection Authority of the Slovak Republic), Galvaniho Business Centrum II, Galvaniho 7/B, 821 04 Bratislava, tel. +421 2 32 31 32 14, dataprotection.gov.sk.

Automated decision-making

Nothing that concerns you is decided by a machine on its own. The instalment calculator on this website is only an indicative calculation — financing is approved by the finance company, not by our website. We do not profile you and we do not build any scores about you.

Social networks

In the footer and on the contact page we have links to our profiles on social networks. They are ordinary links — nothing is loaded from those networks onto our site until you click them yourself. After the click you are on https://www.facebook.com/people/Auta-SIMA-Car/100064909088409/, https://www.instagram.com/simacar_mario/, https://www.tiktok.com/@simacarsro, https://www.threads.com/@simacar_mario, that is, on pages run by those networks, where their rules apply. Facebook and Threads are run by Meta, TikTok by TikTok Technology Limited.

When this wording changes

If what we do with your data changes, we will change this page too and state a new date.

Visitor measurement without cookies, only with consent (Vercel Web Analytics)

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics from Vercel Inc., which runs the server of this website for us and acts as our processor for the measurement. The tool uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device (not even in browser storage) and builds no profile. Its script does, however, send page-view data from your browser, so it starts only after you consent to the Analytics category in the cookie bar (listed in the cookie list as “Vercel Web Analytics”). Without consent it is not loaded and nothing is sent.

When a page is viewed, the time, the page address (address parameters other than campaign tags utm_… and the part after # are removed before sending), where you came from, device type, operating system, browser and approximate location (country, region, city) are recorded. Visitors are told apart only by a temporary fingerprint (hash) of the request, which is discarded after 24 hours; no IP address is stored with the records. We only see aggregate visit counts, not individual people; the aggregate statistics are available for 12 months. Administration pages are not measured.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications — consent is needed even for measurement without cookies, see EDPB Guidelines 2/2023, paragraph 33). Vercel Inc. is based in the USA; the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of measurement before it.

Wording as at 22 October 2026.
